Basketball Recap: Dwight Takes a Loss

Dwight was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Seneca Fighting Irish and fell 69-38. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 201st).

Dwight's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Seneca, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4.

When Dwight and Seneca next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Dwight will try to stop Lowpoint-Washburn's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Similarly, Seneca will take on Newark and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
