Midway entered their tilt with Fairmont on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Golden Tornadoes. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Jordyn Christopher made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Christopher was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Karabeth Benton, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Samantha Carter, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Midway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairmont only posted a batting average of .231.

Midway pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Fairmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Midway has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against West Bladen on the 8th. As for Fairmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-0 loss against St. Pauls on the 8th.
