Softball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview scored first but ultimately less than Jimtown in their game on Friday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jimmies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 15-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Ava Gilbert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Morgan Rich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Jimtown, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Westview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-4 defeat against Angola on the 13th. As for Jimtown, they have also already played their next game, a 6-3 loss against Knox on the 14th.
