Basketball Recap: Trotwood-Madison Rams vs. Winton Woods Warriors
If the Trotwood-Madison Rams were feeling good off their 73-43 takedown of the Hughes BIG RED last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Trotwood-Madison suffered a tough 76-51 defeat at the hands of the Warriors on Saturday. Trotwood-Madison was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tim Carpenter, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marlon Howard Jr., who scored seven points along with two steals.
Trotwood-Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Winton Woods, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Trotwood-Madison will stay at home for another game and welcome the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Lima Senior is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. As for Winton Woods, they and the Raptors will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Anderson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Warriors are ranked 32nd).
