Greenview extends road losing streak to 13

Recap: Greenview Bulldogs vs. Astoria/VIT Rebels

The Greenview Bulldogs lost against the Astoria/VIT Rebels back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Greenview was outmatched by Astoria/VIT on the road and fell 66-29. Greenview has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ben Sherrod was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds for Astoria/VIT. That makes it four consecutive games in which Sherrod has scored at least 25% of Astoria/VIT's points. Trynton Miller was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.

Greenview's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.7 points per game. As for Astoria/VIT, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenview will take on Midwest Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Astoria/VIT, they will be playing at home against Bushnell-Prairie City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
