Rock Island had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Quincy Blue Devils a 1-0 shutout. For the Rocks, this counts as revenge for the 8-7 win the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Quincy's batters probably weren't too happy with Lilly McDaniel, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (she gave up two walks). McDaniel has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
