Soccer Game Preview: Pierce vs. Willows

The Pierce Bears will face off against the Willows Honkers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Pierce and three for Willows.

Pierce lost 4-1 to Gridley on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1003rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 179th).

Meanwhile, Willows came up short against Orland on Tuesday and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that the Honkers have lost by exactly two goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Santiago Reynoso, who's now up to three this season.

Pierce's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Willows, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.
