Bloomburg suffers seventh straight loss at home

The Bloomburg Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Sulphur Bluff, falling 73-25. Bloomburg was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-9.

It was another big night for Matthew Overly, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and six steals for Sulphur Bluff. Overly is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Clint Degen, who scored 13 points along with three steals.

Bloomburg dropped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Sulphur Bluff, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Bloomburg will head out on the road to challenge Saltillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saltillo is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Sulphur Bluff, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Yantis at 8:00 p.m. Yantis is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
