Baseball Recap: Dewar Extends Home Winning Streak to 31

Dewar put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Oktaha Tigers a 9-0 shutout. This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

AIDEN TOMLINSON made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, S. Yaeger was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Braelin Lewis was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Dewar's win was their 31st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Oktaha, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dewar will welcome Savanna at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oktaha, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wagoner at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
