Basketball Recap: Butner Comes Up Short

Butner is still winless after their contest against New Lima on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Falcons. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Butner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for New Lima, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Butner and New Lima will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Eagles see the court they'll take on Schulter at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for New Lima, their break will end when they face Paden at 6:30 p.m. on December 9.
