            Softball Preview: Riverside Vikings vs. Pittston Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            The Riverside Vikings will head out on the road to  square off against  the Pittston Patriots  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Riverside will be strutting in after a  victory while Pittston will be coming in after a  loss.
On Tuesday, Riverside made easy work of Scranton  and carried off  a  24-3 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Vikings.

 Addie Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with six  RBI, three  doubles,  and one  run.
 In other batting news, Riverside got a  massive  performance out of  Mackenzie Keller, who  scored four  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.  Tierra Schiavo was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with four  RBI and two  runs.
Meanwhile, Pittston had to start their season on the road  on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against  Mid Valley, falling  11-1.
  Jillian Haas was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with one  home run.
 Riverside now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pittston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
