Basketball Recap: Dundee Vikings vs. Madison Trojans
Dundee lost against Madison back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dundee Vikings fell 35-27 to the Madison Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Trojans are ranked 97th).
Leading Madison to victory were Jaeda Parish and Camylie Sower. Parish posted 12 points and three steals, while Sower went 5 for 8 to rack up 10 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Sower a new career-high in points.
Dundee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Madison, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dundee will take on Blissfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
