Academy of International Studies proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Dragons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Academy of International Studies had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 16-25, 25-17, 25-13, 15-6.

Academy of International Studies' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lisa Weinberg, who had ten aces and seven digs. Weinberg is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez, who had 23 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Academy of International Studies was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 31 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 17 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Academy of International Studies' record now sits at 11-1. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Academy of International Studies wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Weaver on the 6th. Academy of Aerospace and Engineering has also already played their next match (against Capital Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
