Academy of International Studies hadn't done well against Academy of Aerospace and Engineering recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Dragons skirted past the Jets 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Dragons, who have now won six matches in a row.

Academy of International Studies had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 16-25, 25-17, 25-13, 15-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Academy of International Studies to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lisa Weinberg, who had ten aces and seven digs. Weinberg is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez, who had 23 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Academy of International Studies was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 31 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 17 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Academy of International Studies' victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
