Recap: Conestoga Christian Cougars vs. High Point Baptist Academy Eagles
The Conestoga Christian Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past High Point Baptist Academy with points to spare, taking the game 71-52. This was payback for Conestoga Christian, who suffered a 71-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Conestoga Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paul Hurst led the charge by scoring 20 points along with nine rebounds. Hurst hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Josh Boutaugh, who scored 23 points along with six assists and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why High Point Baptist Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nick Harris. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Rogers, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Conestoga Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for High Point Baptist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Conestoga Christian will head out on the road to take on Christian School of York at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for High Point Baptist Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lehigh Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m.
