The Cardington-Lincoln Pirates entered their tilt with the Danville Blue Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Cardington-Lincoln snuck past Danville with a 52-46 win on Tuesday. For Cardington-Lincoln, this counts as revenge for the 53-43 defeat Danville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Cardington-Lincoln's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abigail Hardwick led the charge by scoring 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Caulkins, who scored ten points.
Cardington-Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Danville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.
Cardington-Lincoln will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northmor at 7:30 p.m. Northmor will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 511th, while Cardington-Lincoln is ranked 244th). As for Danville, they will head out on the road to square off against Fredericktown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Fredericktown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday.
