Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask East Bakersfield). They blew past the West Vikings 18-2 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blades considering their two-run performance the  matchup before.
 CHRIS CARPIO was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because East Bakersfield is 2-1 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 3-4 otherwise. CARPIO was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.
 In other batting news,  RANDY LENOIR and  SEBASTIAN MENDOZA did most of the damage at the plate:  LENOIR  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances, while  MENDOZA  scored two  runs while going 2-for-5. East Bakersfield is undefeated when  LENOIR posts two or  more  runs, but 1-5 otherwise.  ANGEL CHACON was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 East Bakersfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West only posted  an  OBP of  .333.
The  victory  got East Bakersfield back to even at 5-5. As for West,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Bakersfield will challenge Del Oro at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for West, they will take on North at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. West's pitchers better be ready for this one: North has averaged an impressive 6.4  runs per game this season.
