Basketball Recap: Ray Starts Season with Win Against San Manuel

Ray had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 60-40 margin over the San Manuel Miners. The win continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Miners: they've now won five in a row.

Chase Chester went supernova, going 10-for-24 to rack up 33 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The matchup was his eighth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Seth Wade, who shot 43% from the field en route to 17 points and seven rebounds.

Ray wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-30 victory against Salome on the 21st. As for San Manuel, they are taking a road trip to challenge Duncan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
