Softball Recap: Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes vs. Little Chute Mustangs

Fox Valley Lutheran waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They had just enough and edged the Little Chute Mustangs out 10-9. That's more bragging rights for Fox Valley Lutheran, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Fox Valley Lutheran got a big performance out of Melayna Sokulski, who went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Hannah Butler, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a double.

On Little Chute's side, Kyra Whalley and Grace Jansen did some serious damage despite the final result: Whalley scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Jansen scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Beahm, who went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.
