Softball Recap: Crowley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lake Charles College Prep on Monday, Crowley came back down to earth. The Gent came up short against the Lacassine Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 11-2. The Gent were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Crowley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Lacassine, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Crowley will challenge Eunice at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Gent's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Btlng Bobcats have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Lacassine, they will face off against Mamou at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
