Basketball Recap: Anthony Thomas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northwestern over Emmanuel Christian Academy

Northwestern lost against Emmanuel Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell 53-46 to the Lions.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anthony Thomas, who posted ten points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Southard, who put up nine points and five rebounds.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will host Shawnee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, they will welcome Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 67.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
