Soccer Game Preview: Eastside vs. Perry

The Eastside Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Perry Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastside is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Eastside fell victim to Meadowcreek and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, Eastside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Meadowcreek are ranked third).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Perry, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Northside on Thursday.

Perry has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those nine matches. As for Eastside, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
