Basketball Game Preview: Wren Hurricanes vs. Westside Rams

Wren is 0-5 against Westside since December of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Hurricanes will face off against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Westside will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Wren extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Hurricanes blew past Southside 82-24. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hurricanes' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Tigers are ranked 230th).

Meanwhile, Westside got the win against Laurens on Tuesday by a conclusive 59-38. The Rams pushed the score to 48-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

Wren's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Westside, their victory bumped their record up to 22-1.

Wren was dealt a bruising 75-34 defeat at the hands of Westside when the teams last played back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Hurricanes were down 47-19.
