Baseball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur lost against Pearce last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals came up short against the Mustangs, falling 13-4. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly nine runs.

Jonathan Torres made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandro Perez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

MacArthur has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-9 record this season. As for Pearce, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14-1.

Coming up, MacArthur will host Irving at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pearce, they have already played their next contest, a 10-8 win against Rockwall on the 12th.
