Basketball Recap: Rockridge Snags 12th Victory in Last 15 Games

Rockridge won the last time they faced Riverdale and things went their way on Friday too. The Rockridge Rockets came out on top against the Riverdale Rams by a score of 52-44. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Rams are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rockridge is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Riverdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 16-7.

Rockridge has already played their next match, a 56-41 win against Danville on the 1st. As for Riverdale, they will head out to challenge Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverdale is facing Sterling at the right time seeing as Sterling is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
