Baseball Recap: Timberline Takes a Loss

Timberline lost against Madison on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Timberline Wolves took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Bobcats. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Timberline got a good showing from Vinny Peters, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Peters has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Diego Baker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Will Nafzger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Timberline's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Madison, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Timberline will square off against Moscow at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison, they will be taking part in a tournament against Riverton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
