It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pleasant Grove had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Copper Hills Grizzlies by a score of 7-3. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Keaton Nordick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nash Bennett, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of R.J. Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Pleasant Grove's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Copper Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-22.

Pleasant Grove will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grizzlies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
