Baseball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis's last matchup with Canisius could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Red Raiders lost 10-4 to the Crusaders. If the Red Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Crusaders when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jake Suffoletto made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Jack Salerno also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-1. As for Canisius, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Canisius beat St. Francis by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday.
