After flying high against Patton Springs last Friday, Guthrie came back down to earth. The Guthrie Jaguars fell just short of the Motley County Matadors by a score of 35-32 on Tuesday. The Jaguars' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Motley County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Freeman, who made all 5 shots she took racking up 12 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bailea Lawrence, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Guthrie's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-4. As for Motley County, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Guthrie will square off against Paducah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Motley County, they will take on Patton Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
