Baseball Recap: Tucker County Takes a Loss

Tucker County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-6 to the East Hardy Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-5 on Thursday.

Tucker County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Barb, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another was Tyler Ricottilli, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Tucker County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for East Hardy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tucker County will square off against Philip Barbour at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Hardy, they will face off against Hedgesville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
