Recap: Expression Prep Academy Lions vs. Seton LaSalle Rebels

After flying high against the Holmes Bulldogs on Friday, the Expression Prep Academy Lions came back down to earth. Expression Prep Academy was the victim of a tough 94-74 loss at the hands of Seton LaSalle on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Expression Prep Academy came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 50th in West Virginia, while Seton LaSalle is ranked 183rd in Pennsylvania).

Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Brown, who scored 20 points along with three steals. The matchup was Brown's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jackson Childers was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks.

Expression Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Seton LaSalle, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Expression Prep Academy is on the road again on Saturday and play against Ignite Athletics at 5:30 p.m. on January 6th. Seton LaSalle will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Winchester Thurston at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
