Volleyball Recap: Andrew Jackson Academy Starts off Right with Win over Holly Hill Academy

Andrew Jackson Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Holly Hill Academy Raiders with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won five in a row.

Andrew Jackson Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-11.

McKinnley Beard went supernova, getting 18 kills, five digs, and three aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 21 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Carrigan Moore, who had seven aces.

Coincidentally, Andrew Jackson Academy and Holly Hill Academy will both be playing Dorchester Academy the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
