Baseball Recap: Freedom's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Freedom won the last time they faced Easton Area and things went their way on Friday too. Freedom won by a run and slipped past Easton Area 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won four games in a row.

Matt Heineman looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Colin Andrews was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Freedom's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Easton Area, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Freedom will be playing at home against Allentown Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Easton Area, they will head out on the road to take on Nazareth Area at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
