Basketball Recap: Canton's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Canton had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past the Brighton Bulldogs with a 36-32 victory on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-41 back in December of 2024.

Teddy Winstel was the offensive standout of the game as he went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points. Liam Wilson was another key player, putting up three points and eight rebounds.

Canton's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Brighton, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will take on Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brighton, they will challenge Novi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
