Basketball Recap: Delran Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Sterling

The third road matchup was the charm for Delran, as they earned their first road win of the season. They strolled past the Sterling Silver Knights with points to spare on Sunday, taking the game 45-28. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Silver Knights are ranked 115th).

Despite the loss, Sterling still got an impressive performance from Paris Logan, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 boards. Logan is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Frazier, who posted two points and six boards.

Delran is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season. As for Sterling, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Delran won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pennsauken Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Sterling, they will host Gateway Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
