West Morgan entered their tilt with Danville on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-2 last Tuesday.

Levi Borden was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Colby Jones was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. West Morgan is 8-1 when Jones posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Drake Moore, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

West Morgan's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Danville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Coming up, West Morgan will welcome Fairview at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Danville, they will head out to face off against Elkmont at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
