Community Christian extends road losing streak to 13

Recap: Community Christian Lions vs. Tekoa Academy Knight
The Community Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 16th straight loss. They took a 43-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tekoa Academy. Community Christian lost against Tekoa Academy in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 112-64 score last time.
Tekoa Academy was led to victory by Nathaniel McCullar and Braylon Lewis. McCullar scored 16 points along with five steals, while Lewis scored 18 points along with eight steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenneth Newton, who scored four points along with three steals.
Community Christian dropped their record down to 1-17 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road. As for Tekoa Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Community Christian will be playing at home against Veritas Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tekoa Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harmony Science Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th.
