Baseball Game Preview: Skyline Eagles vs. Maple Mountain Golden Eagles

For the second straight game, Skyline will face off against Maple Mountain. The Eagles will challenge the Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Skyline heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Wednesday. They came up short against Maple Mountain, falling 11-1.

For Maple Mountain's part, Cy Chrisman was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those seven RBI gave Chrisman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was AJ Thomas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The win (which was Maple Mountain's 15th in a row) raised their record to 25-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Skyline, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-14.
