Volleyball Game Preview: Monona Grove Silver Eagles vs. Sun Prairie East Cardinals + Official Tickets

Monona Grove has gone a perfect 3-0 against Sun Prairie East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Monona Grove is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Monona Grove came up short against McFarland and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 11-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Monona Grove saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mikayla McQueeney had eight digs and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for McQueeney.

Sun Prairie East not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Madison West as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Regents: they've now won five in a row.

Sun Prairie East walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-19.

The victory got Sun Prairie East back to even at 17-17. As for Monona Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-20.

Monona Grove beat Sun Prairie East 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. Do the Silver Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
