Baseball Recap: Manteca Gets the Win

On Wednesday, the Manteca Buffaloes earned a 7-3 victory over the Tracy Bulldogs.

Jeremy Cross looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Manteca saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Navarro, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Cameron Jimenez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Manteca's record is now 5-1. As for Tracy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Manteca has already played their next game, an 18-2 win against Ripon on the 28th. As for Tracy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-7 loss against Amador Valley on the 28th.
