California City hasn't had much luck against Rosamond recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. California City will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosamond at 3:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
California City will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Boron on Friday. California City put the hurt on Boron with a sharp 10-1 win. With that victory, the Ravens brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Blake Moore made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.6 strikeouts per game. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kole Hightower was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Aaroon Moreno, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rosamond). They never let Mammoth get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Like California City, Rosamond also got a great game from a two-way player: Shawn Webb. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Webb was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julian Pope Herdnandez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Ricardo Najera was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Rosamond always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .703. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive games.
California City's win bumped their record up to 3-5-1. As for Rosamond, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. California City has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rosamond struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
California City was able to grind out a solid win over Rosamond when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. Does California City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rosamond turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
