Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arvada). They were the clear victor by a 55-30 margin over the Sheridan Rams on Thursday. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 45-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams cut but never quite recovered from.

Arvada was led to victory by Carmen Medina and Lily Heck. Medina posted eight points in addition to ten steals and seven rebounds, while Heck almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Those ten steals gave Medina a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Amiah Picaso, who earned eight points.

Arvada was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 1 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 5.4.

The win got Arvada back to even at 8-8. As for Sheridan, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Arvada wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-8 defeat against Bennett on the 3rd. Sheridan has also already played their next contest (against Platte Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
