St. Mary's picks up 11th straight win at home

Recap: St. Mary's Cardinals vs. Stuart Broncos

The St. Mary's Cardinals entered their tilt with the Stuart Broncos with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. St. Mary's pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over Stuart. This was payback for St. Mary's, who suffered a 58-44 loss the last time these two teams met.

St. Mary's found their leader in underclassman Gage Hedstrom, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Hedstrom hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Ben Barlow, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

St. Mary's pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Stuart, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
