It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lumberton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Laurel Golden Tornadoes 6-5. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-15-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
