Softball Game Preview: Fisher Bunnies vs. Watseka Warriors

The Fisher Bunnies will head out to take on the Watseka Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Fisher has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Fisher's victory against Milford wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bunnies had just enough and edged out the Bearcats 2-1 on Wednesday. The Bunnies haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Watseka waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 9-7.

Watseka's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-12. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Fisher, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.

Fisher couldn't quite finish off Watseka in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 and fell 10-8. Can the Bunnies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
