Soccer Game Preview: Conroe vs. Caney Creek

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Conroe duke it out with Caney Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Conroe is headed into the match having not lost since January 29 and will look to keep things rolling. They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over Willis on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Caney Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past New Caney 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Conroe is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those nine matches. Caney Creek's win bumped their record up to 8-9.
