It was a good run, but Ridgefield unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the R.A. Long Lumberjacks. The Spudders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lumberjacks earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Ridgefield's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for R.A. Long, they pushed their record up to 10-7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ridgefield will challenge rival Hockinson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, R.A. Long is set to take on their familiar foe Hudson's Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
