Softball Recap: Greene Central Comes Up Short

Greene Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-0 to the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Greene Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greene Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Ayden - Grifton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, SouthWest Edgecombe will face off against rival North Pitt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
