Recap: Brick Township Green Dragons vs. Manchester Township Hawks
The Brick Township Green Dragons fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Manchester Township Hawks on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Hawks 56-52. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brick Township in their matchups with Manchester Township: they've now lost five in a row.
It was another big night for Devyn Quigley, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 11 rebounds for Manchester Township. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which Quigley has scored at least a third of Manchester Township's points. Another player making a difference was Jade Andrews, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Brick Township has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Manchester Township, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Brick Township will take on Barnegat at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manchester Township, they will head out on the road to challenge Trinity Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
