Antone Johnson's Big Game Leads Tattnall Square Academy over Stratford Academy

Tattnall Square Academy picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Antone Johnson. Johnson turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 149 yards, while also throwing for 91 yards and two touchdowns. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

Unfortunately for Stratford Academy, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Johnson. Johnson rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in October of 2023.

Asa Wall Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, John Milledge Academy had to settle for second even though Asa Wall put up the best numbers he has all season. Wall rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown.

John Milledge Academy is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. Wall and John Milledge Academy will venture away from home to face off against Tattnall Square Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Ty Hunnicutt Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Tattnall Square Academy got the W thanks in part to Ty Hunnicutt playing the best football he has all season. Hunnicutt picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 80 yards.

For the season, Hunnicutt has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 75.9 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had two receiving touchdowns.

Tattnall Square Academy picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to William Stuart. Stuart turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 72 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 66 yards.

This year, Stuart has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 16.3 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had one receiving touchdown.

Rounding off our Top Five is Jett Johnston of Stratford Academy. Johnston picked up 75 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Johnston and Stratford Academy will square off against Mount de Sales Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Johnston will face off against Zavion Deshazier, the Cavaliers' star quarterback. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
